Lemonade and Watermelon Sparkling Coolers with Watermelon Mint Kabobs

Summer is here! The days feel longer. We’re not rushing to school or sports or anywhere for that matter.

Our days are spent lounging at the pool or riding bikes around the neighborhood. Kids knock on the door to play in the yard, friends stop by while they’re walking the dog, and we somehow end every day sweaty and sticky from popsicles or s’mores or sunscreen or all of the above.

From a relaxing afternoon at the pool to an impromptu cocktail party on the patio or just a little something fun to enjoy with my lunch, these Lemonade and Watermelon Sparkling Coolers are the perfect addition to everything I’m doing this summer.

Served with Watermelon Mint Kabobs, the kids and I feel like we’re really living summer to the fullest.

HOW TO MAKE LEMONADE AND WATERMELON SPARKLING COOLERS

This is such an easy drink to make. I usually share mine with the kids and stick to the recipe, but you can also add vodka for a tasty adult beverage.

First, you’ll want to toss two cups of watermelon into a blender. You can cut up a watermelon yourself or buy it pre-cut from the grocery store.

Next, you’ll want to add in one can (about 8 ounces) of sparkling water and an entire bottle of Florida’s Natural® Lemonade.

If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile, then you know about our obsession with Florida’s Natural. (If you need a refresher, click here to read all about it.) The obsession doesn’t stop with orange juice, we love Florida’s Natural lemonades too!

They aren’t made from concentrate and have no artificial ingredients or preservatives. Plus, they have managed to achieve the perfect balance of sweet and sour!

Mix all of your ingredients together and serve over ice with Watermelon and Mint Kabobs.

HOW TO MAKE WATERMELON AND MINT KABOBS

With your remaining watermelon, you can make watermelon and mint kabobs to go along with your drink.

You’ll simply cut the watermelon into chunks OR use a mellon baller to create watermelon balls.

Alternate pieces of watermelon with a mint leaf on a kabob skewer, and you have watermelon and mint kabobs.

Easy, right?

I like to keep a few in the freezer to stick directly in my drink, but you can serve immediately or refrigerate for a day or so before eating.

Please make sure to always supervise your kids with kabob skewers.

  1. I was curious if you ever considered changing the layout of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or two pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?

  2. Hi, Neat post. There’s a problem with your website in internet explorer, would test this… IE still is the market leader and a good portion of people will miss your wonderful writing because of this problem.

  3. I will right away snatch your rss feed as I can’t find your email subscription hyperlink or e-newsletter service. Do you’ve any? Please permit me realize so that I may just subscribe. Thanks.

  4. Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
