Not only will I walk you through how to make your elf more poseable (using wire, velcro and magnets) without sewing a thing, I'm also going to give you ideas for his arrival as well as his goodbye and everything inbetween - including printables, easy and creative ways for him to get into mischief as well as what do do when you just can't do Elf on the Shelf one more day (we've all been there). HOW TO MAKE YOUR ELF ON THE SHELF MORE POSEABLE USING WIRE, VELCRO AND MAGNETS

It is so easy (and fun!) to make your Elf on the Shelf more poseable (and much more likely to get into mischief) using wire, velcro and magnets – and there’s not a bit of sewing required.

How great is that?

FIRST, WATCH THIS VIDEO TO SEE THE STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS, THEN FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW
SUPPLIES YOU’LL NEED

You won’t need many supplies for this process (or much time either)!

Elf on the Shelf (really hard to do any of this without your elf. 😉 )

Bendable wire

Wire cutters

No-sew velcro

Strong magnets This is a pack of 20, but you only need one per elf.

Seam ripper (not required, but makes the process much easier) or Scissors

INSERTING THE WIRE TO MAKE THE ARMS AND LEGS MORE BENDABLE

Use your seam ripper to make a small hole at the tip of each hand and foot. You may also need to cut the thread at the knees and elbows.

Insert your wire through the hole and extend it through the entire arm or let. Use the wire cutters to snip the wire and then pull the hand or foot back over the end. The hole will not be visible. (Seriously, it’s like magic).

Repeat for all limbs.

USING VELCRO TO MAKE THE HANDS MORE POSEABLE

Cut a small piece of velcro and stick it onto one hand. Repeat on the other hand. Put the hands together, pull them apart, repeat, repeat repeat.

Kidding. You don’t have to keep repeating it. But you can if you want to!

USING MAGNETS TO TAKE YOUR ELF TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Using your seam ripper, make a small incision on the back of your elf near his bum. Snake your magnet through the hole and up the back. The hole should disappear, and your Elf on the Shelf is now magnetized.

See how easy that was?
