My Life

You May Want to Invite Me to Your Wedding

By  |

Even Steven and I attended a gorgeous wedding on the Chesapeake Bay nine years ago. It was a perfect fall evening. There was a live band. The bride and groom were happy and so in love. Even Steven and I were so young.

Back then, it was all the rage to have disposable cameras on each table for guests to help capture the fun moments happening at the reception. I felt it was my duty to take really great pictures for the bride and groom to cherish forever.

Once it started to get dark, I invited guests (one or two at a time) to step to the side of the party and moon the camera.

I couldn’t see a thing – but the disposable camera had a great flash – so I hoped that I was taking decent pictures.

Young people and old people. Males and females. Couples and singles. Nearly every single guest mooned the camera for me.

This is the face Even Steven made when he found out what I was doing:

He wouldn’t let me leave the disposable camera at the reception when we left – just in case the bride’s mom was the one to get the film developed.

So I developed them on my own – and I made a great photo album for the bride and groom.

And I won’t show you all of the pictures I took – but here is a small sampling (complete with modesty patches.)

Contact me if you’d like me to be a guest at your wedding. I’ll be sure to bring some bendy straws – but I’ll have to bring my kids too – I hope that’s okay…

If/when it comes time for me to get married I may have to bribe you to come to my wedding or just give my friends ideas if you are busy. The only real thing I know I want at my wedding is for people to have fun… and bubbles!
