Water Bottle
This probably seems pretty obvious, but I just cannot exercise without my water bottle. I try to drink a bottle before I head to the gym, a bottle during my workout, and another bottle on the way home.

Extra Socks
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve arrived at the gym only to find that I’m wearing the wrong socks. It’s much handier to just keep a spare in my gym bag just in case.

Gum
Just in the last month, I’ve started chewing gum while I exercise. It sounds weird, but it gives me a little burst of energy right when I need it.

Hair Ties
There is nothing worse than not being able to pull your long hair into a ponytail or braid. I’m always misplacing my hair ties, so it helps to keep a stash in my gym bag.

Music!
I can’t exercise without music – which I keep on my phone. So I make sure to always keep a pair of earbuds in my gym bag, so I don’t have to exercise in silence.

Deodorant
This is pretty obvious. Right?

Yoga Mat
I use my yoga mat for yoga (duh), stretching exercises, planks, sit-ups and push ups. It’s handy to have on hand when you don’t want to sit on the gym floor.

Dry Shampoo
I rarely shower at the gym, but I do try to make it so my hair doesn’t look gross and sweaty. Dry shampoo to the rescue!

Boogie Wipes
I use the unscented pack as facial wipes. It’s great for cleaning up after a workout to help prevent breakouts and leave me feeling clean and refreshed.

Gym Bag
I know, I know. I don’t keep my gym bag IN my gym bag. But I do tend to feel more motivated to hit the gym when I have a cute gym bag.
