Celebrating YOU

By  |

For the past 11 years, I have kept every single card and piece of personal mail I’ve received in this large, glass canister.

Every time I see it, I’m reminded that I’m loved. That someone (lots of someones) took the time to jot a note, send some laughter – and some love.

When Even Steven and I were married, my dad stood up at the reception, pulled out four pieces of yellow legal paper and then struggled to read his handwriting through his tears – during one of the most beautiful speeches I’ve ever seen at a wedding reception. You can bet I have those crumpled, folded papers in my glass canister.

When I made the tough choice to leave my job and become a stay-at-home mom, my friends and family came out of the woodwork to send me cards – cheering me on and lifting me up. They’re all right here.

Total no-brainer…like you said, I am already buying their cards! Off to join right now! Wonder if they make a card that says, “Hey, I am a blogger, and I would really like to win $500!”-Ashley

Love the way you have your cards on display. All of mine are sitting in a box to be hole punched and added to a binder…I love the idea of having them on display as a reminder of all the love and encouragement though!

Oh my gosh. I love you so much more that you keep all of your cards because I keep every single one of mine too. They’re all organized by occasion in a drawer. My family thinks I’m absolutely crazy for keeping them all when I pull stuff out from when I was 6 but now I have someone with my same love of hoarding cards! Yes!

What a fantastic way to keep all of those little mementos. I have my crammed in to folders and boxes where I can’t see them. I’m heading off to sign up now! Would you like a card with kitties or flowers on it?

Never thought about having them in a container like that. Mine are in a cubby. Guess what I will be buying today? Thanks for the suggestion.
