Building a Big Game Snack Stadium + Jalapeño Popper Dip Recipe

    Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

This post has been sponsored by Kraft Heinz. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When it comes to the Big Game, there are two types of people in the world: Those that are there to watch the football game, and those that are there for the food (and the halftime show).

In case you were wondering, I am 100% there for the party food!

This year I decided to take our food game to a whole new level, so I teamed up with the Kraft Heinz to build a full-blown Snack Stadium.

Yes, you read that right. I built a stadium out of all of our favorite snack foods. It was far easier than I thought it would be, and our practice stadium got 10 thumbs up from our family.

Whether you’re gearing up for the Big Game or just planning a football-themed party, this DIY snack stadium is easy to pull together. When you fill it with your favorite Kraft Heinz products, it takes this simple concept to an ultimate level. From Bagel Bites to Potato Skins (and this amazing Jalapeño Popper Dip), your guests will be amazed by this party food.

How to Build a DIY Snack Stadium

To get started, I went to Walmart to purchase my food and supplies. For the stadium itself, I used white duct tape and three pieces of foam board. I used one piece as the base of the stadium, and I cut the others to build sides and dividers. I used white duct tape to hold everything together.

As you’re mapping out your own snack stadium, think through what food you want to serve and build a section for each type of food. If you need some ideas, my go-to Kraft Heinz products include the TGI Fridays Potato Skins, Chicken Wings, and Kraft Barbecue sauce for dipping!

Be sure to leave a space in the middle for your “field.” It definitely makes a statement, and personally I think it’s a great place to have Bagel Bites set up as players on the field with Jalapeño Popper Dip set up right at the 50-yard-line. (See the recipe below.)

If you're getting stuck on exactly how to build your snack stadium, don't get overwhelmed. It really is easier than it looks, and a simple google search will help you find several variations along with step-by-step instructions.

Filling Your Snack Stadium with the Best Party Food

Once you have your snack stadium built, now comes the fun part - filling it!

I took a poll of my family and friends, and compiled a list of our favorite appetizers and snacks. Here's what we put in our snack stadium:

    • Bagel Bites Cheese & Pepperoni Mini Bagels
    • TGI Fridays Loaded Cheddar & Bacon Potato Skins (topped with Knudsen Sour Cream or Breakstone’s works well too!)
    • Queso Dip (made with Velveeta Original Cheese and a can of Diced Tomatoes and Green Chiles)
    • TGI Fridays Buffalo Chicken Wings
    • Planters Nutrition Essential Mix
    • Homemade Jalapeño Popper Dip - You will need:
      • Philadelphia Original Cream Cheese - 8 oz.
      • Miracle Whip Original Dressing (½ cup)
      • 2 oz. chopped green chiles
      • 1 jalapeno pepper
      • Kraft Sharp Cheddar Shredded Cheese (1 cup)
      • Parmesan Cheese (½ cup)
      • Panko flakes (½ cup)
    • Chips, Tortilla Chips, Pretzels, Pretzel Rods, Strawberries and Baby Carrots
    • Kraft Barbecue Sauce

Another option would be to turn your snack stadium into a sandwich station - with snacks and appetizers on one side and sandwich toppings and condiments on the other side.

Whether we're building a snack stadium, entertaining or just having a night at home, we love to include Kraft Heinz products on our table. We know we can count on them to offer high quality, great taste for all eating occasions.

Start Planning Now for Your Big Game Plans

Prepping for the Big Game can be so much fun. In addition to planning your guest list, head to Walmart and gather your Snack Stadium supplies.

If you haven't tried their online grocery pickup, I highly recommend it! You order your groceries online and just roll into Walmart to have them delivered to your car. It's a total game changer!

Make sure to practice building your stadium with your family in advance so that you’re ready to go when the Big Game rolls around. If you line your food compartments with tin foil or plastic wrap, you should be able to use your snack stadium for multiple game day parties.
