When the amazing Holly Burkholder, of Holly Burkholder Photography, offered to take my pictures for my new blog design coming soon, I was so excited!
When she came to my house for a photo shoot two weeks ago, it was the real deal.
She had props and lighting and drapes and a fake floor. She had music, and I’m pretty sure she would have had wine too – if it hadn’t been 10:00 in the morning.
I think that Holly made me look like the best possible version of myself. Throughout the entire shoot, she kept me laughing and looking natural.
And she shockingly was able to follow my two most important rules:
Don’t get my manhands on camera.
And don’t get a picture of my crazy eye.
Now – I’m sure my man hands and my crazy eye showed up in at least a few of her pictures – but that sweet girl didn’t show me those. Bless her heart.
She also didn’t tell me whether or not she “touched up” a few of my forehead wrinkles – which just makes me love her even more!

Well – I love them all too and really really want a wallet size one that I can show people on the plane when I fly – you know – when I tell them about my kids and they can’t wait to see pictures – providing they haven’t already put headphones on – which surprisingly many do. Anyway, Nick and Holli have FAMILY pictures I can show but you ? just an old of the kids……sigh.

Lovely pictures! The first is my favorite – you look so impish, like you’re contemplating shenanigans. And I love when you talk about your man-hands, because it makes me and my man-hands feel in good company.
The last one is my favorite…you look like Anne Hathaway (too lazy to see if I spelled her name right)! Which I hope you take as a compliment because I once told my friend she looked like Celine Dion and she preceded to tell me she thought Celine Dion was the ugliest woman in the world….GULP-what do you say to that???? It didn’t help when my mom met her for the first time and the first words out of her mouth were ” you look just like Celine Dion”! CRINGE! Now I warn everyone before they meet her to NOT say she looks like Celine Dion! Beautiful pics! Even Steven is one lucky guy! Make sure he sees this and knows you could leave him and the kids for Hollywood anytime!!
