Messy House Owner: Amy at This Mama Shops
The owner says: Our house has not been updated and looks like a 70′s sitcom in some areas. That is why our cupboards still have the retro look.
After an hour trying to locate a certain pan, I gave up. Organization is something I desperately need. Instead, I just pile more on top of something else in the pots and pans cupboard.
When I saw this picture, I thought “Awww – isn’t that sweet? Amy thinks this is a messy pantry…” But then I saw the next picture, and I knew I was looking at Messy House Gold!
From the owner: Please excuse the dirty blender. I just noticed that I must have put it away after the margaritas hit me. Never did get to clean it.
Bonus points if you can find the wood box full of fancy silverware that we have had for years and never opened. OR if you can find the family heirloom china set that has never been used.

Doesn’t this make you feel so wonderful about your own pantry? I know I put away the organizational tools and walked away from my own pantry when I saw this!

But in all seriousness if my house looked like that my husband would kill me and I would not blame him.
I have my little ratsnests around the house too but I think I would brick up the pantry and start over.

Wow, the style and look reminded me of my parent’s kitchen in our old house. Total retro 1970s that you would have expected Jack Tripper himself to walk in, lol!! Seriously, love this and always makes me feel like I am not alone in the world of not cleaning up the mess often enough!!

Speaking as someone with a house so small that I have to put the big roasting pan in my bedroom closet – messy or not I’m green with envy over an actual pantry.

I guess I’d better open up my cupboards and take a picture! Yours looks better than mine does most days!
I end up throwing stuff in there when I’m putting stuff away, because every 30 seconds I get called away to deal with my kids’ latest catastrophe (to them, anyway). OR my 4 year old puts stuff away for me because she wants to “help”.
