Messy House Edition: Mom’s New Stage

My Life and Kids Messy House Edition

I always wanted to be a dancer.

I always thought I would be a dancer. Until my mom told me about the extra vertebrae in my back that would paralyze me if I participated in organized dance class after first grade. (Spoiler alert – she was lying to me – you can read more about that here.)

But despite the risk of becoming paralyzed, despite my inability to hear the beat in music, despite my total and utter lack of rhythm, I always held out a small, little bit of hope that I would become a dancer.

And then I saw a movie about dancers and realized just how much shaving would be involved, and that pretty much put an end to that.

But I still love to watch dancers. And that’s one of the reasons why I like Keesha so much at Mom’s New Stage. She’s a former professional dancer who is currently a master dance teacher. She’s also a mother of two little kids – and – surprise! surprise! – she has messy house!!

And – she sent me a video!

Mom’s New Stage’s Messy, messy house! from Mom's New Stage on Vimeo.

If you want more of Keesha and Mom’s New Stage, here are some of my favorite posts to get you started:

The Momsanity Workout – this is the holiday edition, but I think it’s applicable to most times of the year!

The Anatomy of a Meltdown – she breaks it down into a second-by-second timeline, and it’s all so true.

Words of Wisdom from an Older Dancer – If you are a dancer you will love this. If you are like me – and just wish you could dance – you will also like this.

Remember – Life isn’t Pinterest-Perfect – and our houses don’t need to be either!

Think your house is messier? Send me your pictures! (Garages and cars are welcome too!)

  1. Your mom and mine could have been related, because my mom gave me a similar excuse about why I couldn’t take dance or gymnastics growing up. Seriously, she just didn’t want to take me, lol, but that is neither here nor there!! Seriously, another great Messy House Edition and makes me feel so at home with messy my own home is each and everyday!!! Thanks Anna and Happy New Year :)
