Get Fit at Home – Pintastic Pins of the week

With three little kids, aching varicose veins and a muffin top that threatens to expose itself on a daily basis – it’s important for me to exercise as often as I can.

In fact – I try to squeeze in a workout every single day.

Now – don’t be jealous or think I’m bragging. Some days (most days) – that workout is 20 minutes or less. But that’s enough for me to work up a sweat, work out a little angst and keep myself from doubling my weight every month due to my outrageously high consumption of Crisco.

It’s also enough to keep me looking like this.

Sort of.

I’ve mentioned before that I exercise in my underwear at home – and that’s still pretty much the case. I don’t always have time for the gym – so I like to do what I can at home – as quickly as possible.

Here are a few of my favorite Get Fit at Home pins on Pinterest this week.

For those of you that are visiting for the first time, every Thursday I share my favorite, most pintastic pins of the week. (You can see all of them right here.) And twice a month, I share my favorite pins on live television!

As part of this ongoing series, I’ve created a Pintastic Pins of the Week board on Pinterest. There will be a different theme each week, and everything I talk about on air will be pinned to this board.

  1. Totally pinning this whole article, because I really am always on the lookout for new workout ideas. Like you have about 20 minutes or less daily to get a workout in, so I can truly relate with my gang!!

  2. I really suck at working out, but I try! I use my son to work out. He loves doing sit ups with me because I flop him around and he thinks it’s hilarious.

I actually just bought a Beachbody program called Focus T25. 5 days a week for 25 minutes. It’s a shorter, less intense version of Insanity and developed by the same guy (Sean T).

  3. LOVE the playground one! We have a swing-set at our house, so now I can do more than sit in a lawn chair while the little one plays.

  4. Great ideas! I do one exercise at the playground. When I am pushing my two year old on the swings, I do lunges. I do ten pushes and lunge with one leg and then switch. Since she LOVES to swing, I can get in quite a few lunges! This month I joined a FB group called “Dirty Thirty.” The goal is to walk/run at least one mile a day. I have found it’s much easier to do without children. Some nights I don’t get to it until they go to bed, but I love having the 20 minutes or so to myself walking.
