My Parenting Victory (and a HUGE giveaway)!

For the past few months, my kids have been on a lunch strike. They don’t want anything I prepare. And all they will eat is something that is full of sugar or chocolate or sugar mixed with chocolate.

I was getting frustrated, to say the least.

And then one of my friends suggested a “happy face” lunch. (Thanks Janet!) I had certainly seen happy face lunches on Pinterest, but I never thought about trying them myself. One month later, and my kids eat what I prepare them for lunch every single day.

A banana makes a great smile. Hardboiled eggs make great eyes. (As do mini wheat pitas with peanut butter). And a Chobani greek yogurt makes the perfect nose.

They’re happy. And I’m even happier.
